I am a participant in the
Maryland Child Care Credential Program. This is a voluntary
program that seeks to recognize child care providers who go
beyond the basic requirements needed to maintain a day care
license. By attending evening and weekend classes, I am working
my way up the credential program. The purpose of the program is
to increase the overall quality of child care programs and to
provide a structure for the professional growth of Maryland's
child care providers. I have chosen to participate in order to
improve my skills and develop my knowledge in the field of
professional child care.
I have cared for more than
forty children. More than fifteen started as infants, the
remainder coming to me as pre-schoolers or school age. (These
numbers do not include my own six children, now ages 13 - 23.)
My home is
regularly inspected by the Child Care Administration, the Fire
Marshall, and of course, the parents of all those children.
Contact me for references and feel free to call the parents and
ask them why they chose to place their
child with me.
My goal is to provide you
and your child with quality, long-term day care. I have cared
for many children for three, four, five and more years. This
continuity of care is good for everyone, most especially--your
child!
