| A visionary cadre of young leaders created the Maryland Youth Service
Action Committee (MYSAC) as a pilot program of the Governor's Office on
Service and Volunteerism and the James MacGregor Burns Academy of
Leadership in 1995. Now known as MYAC, the program serves as a national
model for showcasing the power youth have to make a difference in their
communities through service and leadership.
Young people between the ages of 12 and 23 are eligible for MYAC
