Alcohol spray is a safe alternative to chemical insecticides that is
effective against mealybugs, scale, spider mites and whiteflies. For maximum
effectiveness, use the spray at 5-10 day intervals. To make alcohol spray, combine 4 parts water with 3 parts rubbing alcohol. Add a squirt of liquid soap. Make only as much as you can use in a few days. Jackie Carroll
