| You and your husband are
dining in a restaurant when suddenly your husband slumps over in
his chair. The restaurant calls 911 and the first people to
respond are two Baltimore County Police Officers.
They quickly realize that your husband has had a heart attack and
they use defibrillators to start his heart again, saving his life.
Those defibrillators supplied to the police officers were provided
by Save-A-Heart Foundation. And when you husband reaches the
hospital, the doctors and nurses use more life saving equipment
purchased by Save-A-Heart Foundation to help restore his heart and
health.
Save-A-Heart Foundation, Inc., is a non profit, volunteer
organization that has been in existence for 30 years. The monies
have been used to purchase cardiac medical equipment for
hospitals, schools, police departments, volunteer fire companies,
and volunteer ambulance rescue companies. Donations have also been
used to establish cardiac care units in hospitals. And, currently,
we are involved in a community outreach program, to educate the
public about heart disease and ways to reduce the risk. All
contributions are tax deductible and all donations support
communities in Maryland. |
